
Heidi B. Masano, Managing Partner of Masano Bradley, LLP has been a member of the firm since 1981. Her practice emphasizes estate planning and commercial and real estate matters, including acquisitions, banking, corporate formation and operation and creditor rights. She enjoys counselling business clients on succession planning, in particular family businesses, and oversees the firm’s status as a Women’s Business Enterprise certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
Mrs. Masano practices all aspects of municipal law and land use planning, having represented municipalities, municipal authorities and developers. For 29 years, she was Assistant Berks County Solicitor, assigned to the Berks County Planning Commission and Agricultural Land Preservation Board. She was the first woman to serve as Berks County Solicitor in 1998.
A native of Wisconsin, Mrs. Masano earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government and International Relations in 1978 and a Juris Doctor Degree in 1981, both from the University of Notre Dame. During her second year of law school, she attended the Notre Dame London Law Centre, London, England.
Mrs. Masano is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Berks County Bar Association where she served as Chairman of the Municipal Law Section in 1995, Director from 1987 to 1989 and as the first woman president in 1998.
She has previously been a course planner and speaker at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Municipal Law Colloquium, and a speaker at its Land Use Institute. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates and Women in the Profession Committee, past Chair of the PBA’s Judicial Evaluation Commission and Insurance Fund and Trust Board of Trustees, and is a past president of the Law Foundation of Berks County.
In 2011, U.S. Senator Pat Toomey appointed Mrs. Masano to the Judicial Nomination Advisory Panel for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, to review and recommend nominees for federal judgeships.
Active in civic affairs, she is immediate past Chair of the Board of the Foundation for the Reading Public Museum and Penn State Health St. Joseph.
